What is Your Passion?
There is no doubt about it, this is a difficult time. We live in fast times and have been since technology was, literally, put into our hands. Fast, faster and fastest… And now, everything for the most part has come to a stop, almost immediately, and it’s causing some to feel disconcerted, while others are making the most of the time with families. There are many memes, jokes and so on about how home with spouses and kids are making us crazy. I think having this time could be a blessing, not only for me, but for others as well. Is there something that keeps gnawing at you that you want to do or create like writing stories or poetry. What about getting the bag of yarn out of the closet that you bought some time ago with the intent to learn how to crochet, you know, make a nice throw for your living room. Take this time to explore what makes your soul sing. What is your passion?
For those who don’t know me, mine is photography, and has been for many years. When I get a request for a headshot, the excitement begins to build. During a call to a potential client, I feel the butterflies in my stomach. Have you had a similar feeling about something that gets your adrenaline pumping that you think about night and day, which becomes a part of you? If you do, then you know your passion. You want to learn all you can about it, practice it, and talk to others about it constantly. I apologize to anyone that I have bored with my incessant talking about photography.
So, I’m taking this time to hone my skills in editing, lighting, etc., and planning for the future, so I’m ready when the pandemic is over. I hope you take this time to discover your passion or rekindle an old one that has been on the shelf waiting for you to come back to it.
So that’s my passion, what’s yours? #whatsyourpassion #portraits #photography
