Trying Something New (Flashback to 2006) - I went on a pilgrimage to Italy in 2006. While exploring Vatican City it was suggested we walk to the top of the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica (551 steps). I took the challenge. Little did I know that each step is only about 12 inches wide and as you go up the dome the curvature of the dome makes each step even tighter. Claustrophobia was my constant companion as I went further up the stairs, along with 2 other brave souls who went with me, but it was worth it. I wish I had a camera worthy of taking this photo. I'm not sure one exists as the view was breathtaking.
