👒🎩 I love hats! Especially big hats! Whatever happened to the era when everyone dressed up in formal attire including hats for both men and women? Casual is nice, but it seems life seemed more intriguing and with an air of mystery, when people dressed up. Hats were as individual as the person wearing it, just go to the Kentucky Derby and see the colorful array of hats on the women. Some are petite and barely attract attention, others are classic, while some have the WOW factor (my favorite) and finally some are downright outlandish. I suspect that's as the wearer wants it to be.
📸 As a photographer, I look in many places for inspiration to light my creative fire. I view other photographer's images, museum paintings and galleries of some of the greatest artists the world has ever known. Images with women in oversized hats caught my eye, especially in black and white or with minimal color. I had to try it and at the end of January of this year, the shoot came together.
